CS601 Assignment:
Question#1 Figure-1 shows the signal encoding of a bit-stream using Bipolar-AMI signal encoding. You are required to give the bit representation of this encoded signal in the given bit stream table (Table-1).
Figure-1: Bipolar-AMI Signal Encoding.
Question#2: Figure-2 shows the signal encoding of a bit-stream using B8ZS encoding. You are required to give the missing bits in the given bit stream table (Table-2) for this encoding.
Question#3 Consider a periodic signal which is decomposed into seven sine waves with frequencies 300, 200, 1000, 600, 800, 700 and 400 Hz; what is the Bandwidth of this signal? Give your answer in proper units with complete calculations.
Question#4: A work station is transmitting data at a rate of 1.69 Mbps over a channel which gets affected by a sudden noise. If the noise occurs for duration of 0.01 msec (milliseconds); how many bits are going to be impacted by this burst error? Give your answer in proper units with complete calculations.
